We believe the most meaningful photos come from real connection—not stiff poses or perfect smiles. That’s why our Dogs and Their Humans sessions are all about documenting the genuine bond you share in a relaxed, natural way. Photographed at Hickory Trails Park in Canton, Georgia, these sessions are designed to capture candid, documentary-style moments full of love, movement, and personality.

This location offers the perfect mix of peaceful wooded trails and soft golden light, just a short, easy walk from the parking area. We’ll take our time exploring, letting your dog set the pace while we quietly document the story that unfolds—tail wags, playful glances, muddy paws, and all.

These sessions are especially great for puppies, senior dogs, or any pup who finds sitting still a bit overrated. There’s no pressure for perfect behavior—just time spent together, however that looks for your family. Whether it’s one dog or several, one human or the whole crew, the session is open to all members of the same family who want to be part of the memories.

In the end, you’ll walk away with a collection of authentic images that reflect your dog’s personality and the relationship you treasure most—photos that feel like your life, not just a posed version of it.

Our public shoot location is Hickory Trails Park, chosen for its wide-open spaces and peaceful atmosphere—perfect for capturing natural, stress-free moments. The park is typically quiet and sees few visitors, making it a great distraction-free environment for your dog to relax and shine in front of the camera.

Sessions are scheduled in 60-minute blocks around golden hour—the final two hours before sunset. Choose your date and time through the link below. No payment is due at the time of booking; however, we’ll contact you within 24 hours to confirm your date and secure your session with a $100 non-refundable deposit.

Your deposit will be invoiced via PayPal to secure your session. You can pay using a credit card through the PayPal link, even if you don’t have a PayPal account. This $100 non-refundable deposit will be applied toward your total session cost. The remaining balance is due on the day of your session and can be paid by credit card or cash.

If the weather doesn’t cooperate, no worries—we’ll reschedule your session free of charge.

We recommend bringing along your dog’s favorite toys and treats to help keep them comfortable and engaged during the session. We’ll provide a selection of blankets for you and your pup to sit on, but if you’d like to bring your own, feel free! On shoot day, we’ll guide you and your dog(s) through a mix of posed and candid shots. Some sessions take the full session time, while others wrap up sooner. We allow plenty of time to ensure we hit all the shots we're looking for to ensure the best possible image gallery.

The primary focus will be on capturing beautiful moments of your pet(s), while also including heartfelt shots with their humans. If you have multiple fur babies, we’ll photograph them together as well as individually to ensure each one gets their moment to shine.

Your images will be expertly edited in color, with select shots—chosen by Sheena—also presented in black & white. Only the images that naturally lend themselves to black and white editing will be included.

Your photos will be ready to access and download within three weeks of your session through a private Dropbox link. Your gallery will feature the best 20-25 edited images from your session with a few duplicates of the selections edited in black & white.

We're a husband and wife photography duo with more than 25 years of experience. We spend most of our time traveling the country as photographers and have worked with dozens of international brands like Sun Outdoors, PetSmart, Columbia, Zappos and Camelbak. When back at our home base in the metro Atlanta area, we're thrilled to offer our sessions to folks and their pets!

We blend technical expertise with a creative eye, ensuring every shot is both artistically inspired and well-crafted. Our approach combines precision in lighting, composition, and editing with an artful vision that brings each image to life.
